DDream Games LLC ("we", "us") operates Yolqa (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
On first launch, the App generates a random anonymous identifier
(install_id, a version-4 UUID). It is stored locally on your
device and sent with every request to our servers so we can keep track of
your token balance and progress. It is not linked to your name, email, or
phone number.
The App reads your device GPS coordinates to find nearby points of interest and play audio guides about them. Location is sent to our servers only when you actively use the App (e.g. when the App polls for nearby places). With your explicit permission, location may also be read in the background so audio playback continues while your phone is in your pocket. We do not log or store location history server-side beyond what is needed to fulfill the current request.
We record which points of interest you have listened to (linked to your
install_id), and which generated stories were created. Story
content itself is text generated from public Wikipedia data, not from you.
If you leave a message at a place, we store its text, the place, the time and your account, so that other users of the App can read it there and we can review reports. Messages are shown without your name. If you report a message or hide messages from an author, we store that choice with your account.
We use a third-party crash reporting service to collect crash reports
and non-fatal errors. Crash reports include device model, OS version,
app version, stack traces, and your install_id. They do
not include the content of audio stories or location data.
We use Google Analytics for Firebase and AppMetrica (by Yandex) to
understand how the App is used and to improve it; both receive the same
events. The App sends usage events such as opening screens,
starting and finishing a walk, starting and finishing a story (including how
long it was listened to), the category of the place (for example
"museum" or "park"), the selected guide voice and language, opening the
token shop and purchases, sign-in method and whether it created a new
account, tour usage and voice navigation prompts, how long a story took to
start, stories interrupted by other apps or calls, opening one of our
notifications, granting or denying permissions, and posting or reporting a
message (without its text). When there are no places near you, the event
includes only a coarse area of roughly 40 × 20 km. The App also records
how you found it (organic, partner or campaign code, ad network), whether
you have made a purchase and roughly how many stories you have heard. Our
servers additionally send events about verified purchases, refunds,
welcome token grants and YQ tokens added to or spent from your balance.
Events are linked to your install_id
and to an app instance identifier generated by each analytics SDK, and
include device model, operating system, app version and language. Google
and Yandex may derive an approximate location (country, region, city) from
your IP address.
Analytics events do not contain your precise GPS location, the names or identifiers of places you visit, the text of stories or messages, your name, email address, or sign-in account identifiers.
On Android, AppMetrica also receives the device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID) to attribute installs of the App to our own advertising campaigns in Yandex Direct. It is not used to show you personalized ads. You can reset or delete the advertising identifier in your device settings. On iOS the advertising identifier is not collected, and the App does not ask for permission to track you.
A few of these events — the first app open, the first story listened to, the first purchase and the value of purchases — are also used to measure how well our own advertising campaigns in Google Ads work (for example, how many installs from an ad led to a first story). Google Ads receives these events from Google Analytics within our Google account, in the same pseudonymous form. They are not used to build advertising profiles, to show you personalized ads or to target other people based on your activity, and they are sent only when usage analytics is allowed. In the same way, AppMetrica passes installs and these events to Yandex Direct to measure our own campaigns there.
If your device region is in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, usage analytics is enabled only after you agree to it in the App. Everyone can turn usage analytics on or off at any time in Profile → Usage statistics. When it is off, the App sends no analytics events and our servers stop sending analytics events linked to your device.
If you purchase YQ tokens via the Apple App Store, Google Play Store or RuStore, the store provider handles the transaction and shares a receipt token with us so we can credit the purchased tokens to your account.
We never see your payment method, card number, or billing address.
We measure which partner link, promo code or advertising campaign led to an install, so we can pay our partners and evaluate our marketing.
go.yolqa.com) or an
advertising link page (get.yolqa.com), we record
the visit: the link, the date, the platform, the country and
campaign parameters in the link. To match the visit with a later
install we may also store the browser language, the operating
system version and device model reported by your browser, and
keyed one-way hashes of your IP address. We never store the IP
address itself. For visitors from the European Economic Area, the
United Kingdom and Switzerland only the IP hashes, the country and
the platform are stored.go.yolqa.com/s/…) and store which place it is for and
that you created it. If you open a link someone shared with you, we
store that you used it for a free listen. The person who shared the
link is not shown to you, and they do not see who used it.The result is stored with your account: the source (partner, campaign, advertising network or organic), the link and campaign, and the time. Partners see only aggregated numbers (clicks, installs, purchases and revenue) and never data about individual users.
We do not use your data for ad targeting or ad personalization. Install attribution and conversion measurement only show which link, campaign or ad led to an install or a purchase. We do not sell your data to third parties.
We share limited data with the following categories of service providers, strictly to operate the App. They process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
install_id.install_id.We do not share user data with advertisers, data brokers, or other commercial third parties. The conversion events used to measure our own advertising campaigns stay within our Google account (Google Analytics and Google Ads) and our Yandex account (AppMetrica and Yandex Direct).
Our primary servers are located in the European Union. Some operational data (audio synthesis input, AI text generation input, crash diagnostics, usage analytics) may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions outside the EU, including the United States and Russia (usage analytics in AppMetrica), under standard contractual clauses approved by the EU Commission and equivalent safeguards.
install_id
is active. Deleted on request (see Section 6).If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you have the right to:
install_id.install_id
(see Section 6.2).You can delete your account and associated data directly in the App, no email required:
This immediately and permanently removes your install_id,
profile, story history, achievements, artefacts, story-feedback votes,
identity bindings (Apple / Google linkages) and all data tied to your
account from our active systems. For accounts created with Sign in with
Apple, we additionally call Apple's token revocation endpoint where
technically possible (we need a valid Apple refresh token captured at
sign-in time); older accounts predating this feature are processed via
Apple's standard account-deletion flow on their side. Backups containing
data are rotated out within 30 days. Anonymized aggregates (counters that
don't reference your install_id) may be retained for analytics.
For access, correction, portability, restriction, objection, or to
file a complaint, contact us at
[email protected] with your
install_id (visible in the App's About screen).
We respond within 30 days.
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.
Data in transit is encrypted using TLS. Data at rest is encrypted on the storage provider level. We follow industry-standard practices for secret management and access control, but no system is perfectly secure. You use the App at your own risk.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will indicate the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
